YCCS Member Alberto W. H. Roemmers passed away yesterday, 15 August. Over the course of 10 seasons Alberto supported the Azzurra campaigns in the TP52 circuit.

His passion and dedication drove him to build a close-knit Italo-Argentinian team which carried the YCCS burgee and the name of Azzurra to the highest levels of international sailing. He was named an Honourable Member in 2005 for his contribution to the sporting activities and the renown of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

The Yacht Club Costa Smeralda wishes to express its most sincere condolences to the Roemmers family.
