Porto Cervo, 26 April 2021. Yesterday, Sunday 25 April, among the many regattas being sailed, YCCS members took part in the La Lunga Bolina & Coastal Race 2021 and the Star Western Hemisphere Championship.

The Coastal Race within the La Lunga Bolina & Coastal Race 2021 set off on Saturday 24 April. The race was open to Este 24 one-design craft and was valid as the fifth leg of the Este24 national circuit. Eighteen boats took part, including YCCS member Antonio Sodo Migliori’s La Poderosa, with member Filippo Maria Molinari on board. Two races were held, covering a total of 65 miles, and with a win in the first race and a tenth place finsh in the second, La Poderosa claimed fourth place overall.

On the other side of the world, the Star Western Hemisphere Championship was taking place, with YCCS member Paul Cayard, sailing with Luke Lawrence, leading from the start and taking victory in the event.

Last week YCCS member Ante Razmilovic also brought home an excellent result with a win in the Etchells Bedrock Trophy organized by the Royal Thames Yacht Club.
