Porto Cervo, September 9, 2019. Tomorrow will see the start of the Rolex New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup where the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda’s Race Team will be back after having participated in the first edition of the event that was held in 2009. The participating teams, representing 20 prestigious Yacht Clubs from 14 different nations, will compete for the first time at this event aboard Melges IC37s designed by Mark Mills.

After two days of training plus today’s practice race the YCCS Race Team is ready to start tomorrow September 10th. There will be five days of sailing in the Narragansett Bay off the NYYC’s Newport, RI clubhouse for a total of 12 races with no discards. 

The sailors representing the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda are: Antonio Sodo Migliori – helmsman; Edoardo Mancinelli Scotti – tactician; Filippo Faruffini – runner; Rocco Attili – mainsail; Andrea Cinerari and Gulia Zappacosta – tailers; Filippo M. Molinari – pit; Laura Cosentino – mast; Matteo De Luca  - bowman.
