Porto Cervo, 10^th September 2017. Please find the following update relating to the category 5 hurricane Irma which hit the Caribbean region.

The island of Virgin Gorda currently has no electricity and telecommunications remain down. The BVI government has set up a crisis response centre and is working to restore power and communications. From the limited information available about YCCS staff it seems that everyone has survived.

The main Clubhouse structure appears to have held up well while the Marina has been damaged.

We are currently defining the logistics of getting to the area, evacuating our staff and verifying the situation on the ground directly in order to assist the community.
