Porto Cervo, 28 June 2015. The final day of the Coppa Europa Smeralda 888, organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda brought victory for the team Smeralda II captained by Roberto Tamburelli. Second place in the event, which saw seven windward-leeward races completed over three days, went to Adalberto Miani’s Botta Dritta. Third place went to the team Gryphon, captained by Peter Grut in a top three representing Yacht Club Monaco from start to finish.

The prize giving ceremony held at the YCCS Sports Centre officially closed this edition of the regatta valid as a leg of the international circuit for the Smeralda 888 Class.

The YCCS sporting calendar will ow pause for the summer months with the Perini Navi Cup and the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and Maxi 72 World Championship scheduled for September.
