Our warmest congratulations go to those YCCS Members who were awarded prestigious prizes during the VELAFestival underway in Santa Margherita Ligure from 7 to 10 May.

Winner of the title “Sailor of the Year”, organised by Italian magazine “Il Giornale della Vela” was Roberto Tomasini Grinover, owner of the multi award winning Robertissima series of boats. Tomasini Grinover, who races in the Melges 32 and Mini Maxi classes under the YCCS burgee, was chosen from 100 candidates based on the votes of 37,000 readers and successively by a panel of judges.

The prize VELAFestival went to YCCS Member Luca Bassani Antivari of Wally Yachts and the special Ideal Owner prize was awarded to Pier Luigi Loro Piana.

YCCS Commodore Riccardo Bonadeo was called to the stage to present all three Members.
