The 2014 RC44 Championship Tour kicks off in the Caribbean with the class’ first ever event in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda the fleet is expected to include up to 10 boats hailing from Europe, Russia and the USA. The event features a varied sporting programme which includes match racing, fleet racing and a long distance race scheduled to take the one-design yachts around the island of Virgin Gorda. The new, purpose built YCCS Clubhouse and Marina, overlooking the North Sound, will also play host to a busy social schedule with a welcome reception, gala dinner and prize givings planned.
