2015 MEMBERS' CHAMPIONSHIP
2015 Members’ Championship
Porto Cervo, 9 August 2015. The team on board Smeralda II, captained by Andrea Pozzi, triumphed today in the 2015 edition of the YCCSMembers’ Championship. Accompanied by a Mistral wind of 15 to 18 knots, the team claimed first place in both the Porto Cervo to Porto Rotondo race and the return leg.
Smeralda III, captained by Stefano Lelli, scored a fourth and a third place in the two legs to place second overall ahead of Michael H. Hinderer’s Adsglen - on equal points in third place.
In a first for this event an allfemale team, headed by Mrs Sciake Bonadeo, participated and claimed fourth place.
Following the day’s racing and a pause for refreshments at the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo, the 8 competing teams attendedthe prize giving ceremony at the YCCS Clubhouse.
